Pavol Veselý

Pavol Veselý, M.D. focuses on corneal surgery, mainly treating keratoconus. He is the co-developer of a unique surgical method in the treatment of keratoconus. Since 2011, he has worked at the VESELY očná klinika (eye clinic), specialising in cataract surgery, refraction microsurgery and laser eye surgery.

He is author and co-author of several specialist lectures and publications. He is a member of the Slovak Medical Chamber, the European Cataract and Refractive Surgery Society, the Czech Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgery and the Czech Vitreoretinal Society. He obtained an award for the best specialist article in Oftalmochirurgia magazine for 2006. He has introduced many surgical procedures in corneal surgery and myopia which had not previously been performed in Slovakia.

Curriculum

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik (LF UPJŠ) in Košice in 2002.

After completing his studies, he started to work in the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine at the University Hospital Královské Vinohrady in Prague.

He completed his 1st and 2nd Postgraduate degree at an Ophthalmology Clinic in Prague in 2005 and 2008.

From March 2008, he worked in CMO Bratislava and at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine at Královské Vinohrady in Prague.

In 2011 he found together with his mother Dr. Ľubica Veselá and his father Dr. František Veselý the VESELY Eye Clinic, where they introduce into praxis the newest ophthalmological findings and newest surgery techniques.
