Dr Petrovic Pajic graduated from the School of Medicine, University of Belgrade in 2008. She completed master studies in ophthalmology in 2012 and subsequently started PhD studies at the same University. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the Clinic for Eye diseases, Clinical center of Serbia in 2015. where she started the sub-specialization in vitreoretinal surgery in 2016.

Dr Petrovic Pajic received an ICO-Alcon grant and spent a year and a half as a clinical fellow for the vitreoretinal and cataract surgery at Eye clinic, University Medical Center Ljubljana starting May 2017 under the mentorship of dr Xhevat Lumi and prof. Marko Hawlina, who is also her mentor for the doctoral thesis in Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy.

She received SOE grant for a one-month observership in 2018 and spent a month as an observer at the Moorfields eye hospital under the mentorship of prof. Lydon daCruz. She also received ESCRS bursary for the high scoring accepted poster in 2018 and Ingrid Kreissig grant (ARVO 2018) for the quality of the accepted poster. She is a member of several ophthalmology societies and since July 2018 SEE-ARVO secretary.

Dr Petrovic Pajic is currently employed at the Clinic for eye diseases, Clinical Centre of Serbia situated in Belgrade as a vitreoretinal surgeon with a specific scientific and research interest in optic neuropathies, especially Lebers hereditary optic neuropathy.
